I'll take this review, will post comments as soon as possible. Kosack (talk) 09:21, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lead[edit]

  • "Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series", drop the sponsor, the article itself doesn't even use it as the title. Plus, it's only been involved since 2017, so he is a seven-time champion of the NASCAR Cup Series not the Monster sponsored version.
  • Monster also in the second sentence.

Beginnings[edit]

  • Is there any reason why ref 3 links to the team overview page and not his driver page?
  • "to avoid the 86 of Dennis Demers", "caught some air", "raised his fists in the air like he'd won the race, much to the delight of the crowd". Some of these phrases are rather sensationalist.

Unsourced sections[edit]

  • I'll group all this together as there is a lot of seemingly unsourced material here. From the 2009 section onwards, there are swathes of unsourced content. Every paragraph should contain at least one inline citation.
  • This includes the tables in the Motorsports career results section.

References[edit]

  • Refs 1 and 2 are bare urls.
  • Ref 5 has no publisher.
  • There appear to be several available publishing dates and authors missing from some refs.
  • Reference titles shouldn't be written in all upper case even if the original publication does so, per WP:ALLCAPS.

External links[edit]

  • There are two official websites listed, the second seems to be for Lowes rather than Johnson (it appears to be down right now).
  • There's no need for the Achievements heading for the navboxes.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to fail this one from the start as I believe it is a long way from meeting the GA criteria, specifically due to the amount of unreferenced information. It is also usually advised that the nominator is a major contributor to the article which you do not appear to be. I've listed a few points above to get the article in better shape if you wish to address these before you consider another nomination. Kosack (talk) 12:09, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
