Where it states he was born to parents from Trinidad and Tobago, this needs to be changed to parents of Guyanese and Jamaican descent, as stated in this ESPN article. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/german-bundesliga/story/3947552/jadon-sancho-will-be-soccers-next-superstar-but-only-on-his-terms General124 (talk) 07:57, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. You might want to read the sentence a little closer. "The first-generation son of a Guyanese father and a Jamaican mother, Sean, 45, grew up in Kennington." The sentence is talking aout Sancho's father. Sources provided in Wikipedia article confirm Trinidadian parents.  Ganbaruby! (Say hi!) 14:06, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Heralded as one of the new generation's most exciting talents, Jadon Sancho is known for his use of feints, trickery and pace in one-on-one situations, with his skill set being widely compared to Neymar and Ronaldinho.[1][2]

Jadon Sancho Manchester United[edit]

Jadon Sancho now plays for Manchester United, just some of the many reliable sources saying this are Fabrizio Romano, Simon Stone, Sky Sports, Jan Aage Fjortoft, CFBayern (Christian Falk).

Not only this, but Borussia Dortmund earlier today held a press conference and the CEO Joachim Watzke announced that Jadon Sancho had joined Manchester United for a fixed fee of 85 million euros.

I believe this part: Jadon Malik Sancho (born 25 March 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the England national team.

Should be changed to: Jadon Malik Sancho (born 25 March 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for English Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.

Manchester United added on the Senior Careers tab on the right of the page, with 0 Goals and 0 Apps due to not playing his first game yet.

You can look for yourself anywhere you please to validate that Sancho has moved.

Edits cannot therefore be made until an official announcement has been made by the club instead. Wizzy011 (talk) 11:30, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not only that, but Sancho hasn't even agreed a contract with Manchester United yet. All Joachim Watzke said was that Dortmund had agreed a fee with Manchester United, the transfer is far from complete. – PeeJay 13:36, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think mentioning the prospective transfer in the prose is good. I could see where adding a sentence to the intro that he's expected to move from Dortmund to Man U after Euro 2020 would be useful, since people would see it up top. The most extreme I'd want to go would change the intro sentence to say he plays for England and, most recently, Dortmund. —C.Fred (talk) 17:23, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, but man u also posted something like this post on all their social media accounts, it says they have agreed a deal in priciple, so it means he is still a dortmund player. i think we can put "On July 1st, 2021, Manchester United (link) has principally agree on a deal with Broussia Dortmund for the transfer of Sancho." something like this. -Araka12 — Preceding undated comment added 02:44, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Manchester United's announcement says nothing about the transfer being complete. The fee has been agreed, that's all. They still need to agree a contract and Sancho needs to pass a medical, which will happen after England are eliminated from the EURO tomorrow evening. – PeeJay 10:19, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
We 100% should not mention anything about a transfer until there has been an official announcement that they have signed a contract. It would not be the first time a player did not sign for a club despite the teams coming to an agreement. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 16:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think it’s fine to mention that a fee has been agreed, as that has been reported by both clubs, but we shouldn’t have a “Manchester United” section until the transfer is complete. – PeeJay 21:07, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Look,Jadon is already at Manchester United, so because he doesn't have a shirt number yet ,it doesn't mean that you should write he is still at BVB aka dortmund . Change it to jadon Sancho is an English pro footballer who plays for Manchester United and will get a shirt number in the coming days.this is way much better.

This isn't about him not having a shirt number. He hasn't signed a contract or even passed a medical exam yet. He's not registered to Manchester United, so no changes will be made. – PeeJay 17:19, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Euros[edit]

A few sentences on Euro 2020 should probably be added to Sancho's "International Career" section, something like "Sancho was named in England's 26-man squad for Euro 2020, but struggled for playing time in the group stage. He came on as a substitute in extra-time in the final against Italy and took a penalty in the subsequent shootout, seeing his shot saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma."
