Russian name?[edit]

What is his name in Russian? --Jtir 13:48, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Иссак Моисеевич Яглом [1] --Jtir 17:26, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

name of the article[edit]

I started the article as Isaak M. Yaglom and created a redirect from Isaak Yaglom. --Jtir 17:35, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no "middle initial" in names from Russian language. Also there is no another Isaak Yaglom in wikipedia. So I am renaming the article, per naming traditions here. `'юзырь:mikka 17:44, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing this out. I will reverse the edits where I inserted the middle initial. --Jtir 17:49, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done. --Jtir 18:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

developing the article[edit]

I believe there is enough material to develop the article further, but I don't have access to the English obit, and am not qualified to translate the Russian obit. --Jtir 18:25, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All the biographical information I used is from the Russian Mathematical Surveys v.44 obituary listed in the references. Rgdboer 22:27, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I have added <ref> tags citing Boltyanskii, et al. I added an introductory sentence to the Institutes and titles section to have a place to hang the <ref> tag there. --Jtir 22:07, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comment moved here from the article[edit]

I've moved the text below from the maina rticle to here, as it seems to be a commentary on the article rather than its subject. - TB (talk) 10:27, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This appears to be a re-release of Felix Klein and Sophus Lie (1988) with an introduction by Richard Bozulich and cover art by Sam Sloan. The original was 237 pages, this one 274 pages.Rgdboer (talk) 02:28, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

Mass printed book[edit]

If I'm not wrong, the book "В. Г. Болтянский, И. М. Яглом. Геометрия: для IX класса средней школы." was mass printed to be used in schools. Walter Winterfan (talk) 20:57, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
