Dead Link Substituting for an Entire Article Section[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Invincible_story_arcs used to direct to an article detailing each plot arc with about a paragraph each of description, about 20 arcs in total (and 3 spin-offs). It has since been deleted, and it was doing the heavy lifting in the somewhat critical first section of this article, Plot Synopsis. That section needs to be revised to a few paragraphs, or the previous article restored (it seems its content was fine, the article creator was the problem with it). It actually needs to be rewritten anyway since it is not a description of the plot of the comics, but of the first eight issues of a 140 issue run.

Classwork[edit]

To my fellow Wiki editors, allow me to adjust the article for schoolwork just until the 16 of December. Feel free to edit or change my work if you disagree after that date. Thank you for your understanding. PerryDaPlatipussy (talk) 20:10, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 20 March 2024[edit]

There is a grammatical error at the end of the "Plot Synopsis" section. The last paragraph/sentence of the section giving examples of arcs throughout the series should instead read, "The story explores various arcs such as when Mark travels to alternate dimensions and when he fights Thragg to determine the fate of Earth." The prior version is incorrect according to MLA grammar standards because, in order for a comma to be used in this sentence (e.g. "dimensions, and fights..."), both clauses must be independent and separated by a conjunction (and a comma, obviously). For the sake of clarity and grammatical correctness, I feel that the version I wrote above should be implemented.

I.e., remove the comma, and add "when." TevanSolomon (talk) 03:07, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy Section[edit]

I noticed the Controversy section on the article seemed a bit off, and I did some digging. I can't find any evidence of this supposed Image Comics hack happening, and the only references are back to this page. That plus no citations seems to indicate this is vandalism. Probably should be removed. 2601:1C0:5E00:BBF0:C07A:B988:E899:7625 (talk) 04:48, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning The Immortal:[edit]

You might want to specify that he's unkillable as long as his head (specifically his brain) is undamaged. Mark crushing his skull is what killed him permanently. 24.69.97.22 (talk) 20:35, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In the description of Black Samson, it reads:

Black Samson: Markus Grimshaw is an original member of the Guardians of the Globe with super-strength. Lost his powers (and with them, his Guardian status) for a while and whore a high-tech armor made by Art Rosenbaum before recovering them very abruptly. When Robot went rogue and started conquering the world, Black Samson is among the superheroes killed.

The February 21 edits by 41.216.203.145 are vandalism. The "Controversies" section should be removed. It's made up. The only reference online to the "enigmatic hacker identified as PNPatrice127#Comicsforlife" is this page. CyHawk (talk) 12:18, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Page is a total shambles[edit]

The "plot summary" is a summary of an absolutely tiny amount of this; for example, there is absolutely no reason Omni-Man going to the Flaxan dimension is remotely worthy of inclusion in a plot summary of the entire comic. It's like saying Adventure Time is "about a child who meets a talking elephant named Tree Trunks". Judging by previous talk page comments, this is because a previous page outlining more of the plot seems to have been deleted for irrelevant reasons... and not restored here. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The "characters" section is an unbelievable amount of fancruft, and furthermore seeks to spoil the fate of almost every character in the exact same way, almost a cursory mention just to upset people. Name, description, how they died. Name, description, how they died. Lucan: A member of the Viltrumites. Wow, exhilarating - and that's not an encouragement to go type up whatever his entire life story is. Just make a "list of Invincible characters" page or get rid of this. The vast tables of every single issue released, creating a massive monolith of scrolling in both the page and the citations list, also need out ASAP.
