Interstate 777[edit]

I heard that I-777 is coming according to NCDOT from https://www.wavy.com/news/north-carolina/road-from-wilkesboro-to-i-40-in-winston-salem-could-become-i-777/. Both I-77 and US 421 (in NC) articles needed to be updated.2402:8100:3972:14D8:7CD1:78DA:3DC9:634C (talk) 03:53, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The proposed Piedmont Triad Interstate Spur already has its own section in U.S. Route 421 in North Carolina, this news article only identifies a route number that local leaders hope to get if they can convince the state or congress. Nothing about this is official; there is no stance from NCDOT at this time regarding upgrading US 421 to interstate standards, nor any request to AASHTO to assign an interstate number for it. --WashuOtaku (talk) 04:08, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
