"Good job so far"[edit]

This is an interesting article on Fr. Amorth, though it may be lacking in critical interpretations of his ministry as there have been criticisms of other Catholic exorcists including Archbishop Emmanuel Millingo, who has attracted a wide following in Africa and even went off to marry a woman from the Unification Church of Syun Mung Moon (spell). Also, the late Malachi Martin was known by some for being deceitful. Otherwise, it's good. I've read An Exorcist Tells His Story, back in Fall 2001 and I thought it was interesting. He definately hasn't thrown out the psychiatric model. I also will try to find out where he's from. I believe he's an Irishman. Good job so far.

Out of Date[edit]

Subtle Distinction[edit]

A trap for the unwary; casual Googling reveals a site called the International Catholic Association of Exorcists (ICAOE). However, careful reading of their front page quickly reveals We are the largest body of Exorcists outside of the Roman Catholic Church. This is NOT the same body as the International Association of Exorcists (IAE) consisting of mandated exorcists in communion with the Bishop of Rome. I note that the ICAOE claims 'over 200 members on 6 continents'. I wonder if this is the source of the claim on the article that the IAE has 200 members?
