Doesn't it teach also other languages of Spain?

The Manila branch teaches only standard Castillian Spanish.--Jondel 10:54, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The NYC branch teaches Spanish and Catalan. Templeguru (talk) 20:14, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Sydney IC, opening in 2008 is to teach all four languages of Spain. Mostlyharmless (talk) 05:28, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions[edit]

The King of Spain is president of the Instituto Cervantes, and the Prime Minister is its chief executive. How independent is the Institute? Who determines its policy and where it directs its resources? From which ministery does it receive its funding?

What are the objectives of the Institute's source of funds in terms of cultural diplomacy?

The Institute is supposed to be representative of all Spanish speaking countries but is clearly Madrid-centric. What role does the Institute have in Latin America?

And: what percentage of its GDP does Spain spend on culture?

Fair use rationale for Image:DELE JJ.gif[edit]

Image:DELE JJ.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The footnotes look funny, with some of them clickable in superscipt small, and others in standard font, non-clickable, but it looks too complicated to try and change them. Dodder0 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dodder0 (talkcontribs) 23:54, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Brussels Office budget and staff ?[edit]

Anybody? Brussels is the Capital of the EU. It would be interested to have an idea how much budget and staff they foresee to represent them at the EU institutions and have it compared to the budgets by other "International cultural organizations/Cultural promotion organizations" s.a. the Alliance Française, the Goethe Institut, the Instituto Cervantes, the Taalunie. Premio de Poesía Instituto Cervantes[edit]

Should there be something here about an award that the Instituto (possibly) presents, the "Premio de Poesía Instituto Cervantes"? The article for Salvadoran poet and author Alfonso Quijada Urías says that he won this award in 2003. Is there more than one Instituto Cervantes? Jmg38 (talk) 07:39, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
