Similar plot resolution...[edit]
"...humanity was eradicated by an airborne biological weapon (a scenario that was inspired by the Alistair MacLean novel The Satan Bug)." This is similar to a recent plot revelation in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series from Archie Comics. In that continuity, if I remember correctly, the virus that nearly wiped out humanity on Earth was sent by aliens.
