Sources[edit]

Aside from the Wired and Newsweek articles, I've had no luck turning up further sources that meet WP:RS. If anyone could supply an obit from 2004, preferably from a major news source, I'd appreciate it. Note there exists another individual of the same name, Igor V. Smirnov who is also tied to some questionable science, and sometimes confused with the individual who is the subject of this article. - LuckyLouie (talk) 16:37, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

His father - Viktor Abakumov, Stalin's executioner, head of the MGB (later - KGB), precisely because it was given to the laboratory for 28 years. Viktor Abakumov was executed for the torture of prisoners and invented accusations immediately after Stalin's death. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Abakumov — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.36.68.233 (talk) 00:27, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
