Involvement with ScrewAttack[edit]

Is it worth noting that this game was premiered and first playable on ScrewAttack.com's Iron Man of Gaming contest? —Preceding unsigned comment added by LeSomeGuy (talkcontribs) 18:22, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comments[edit]

The Gameplay section could use a little work to improve it:

  • Firstly, it could be rewritten to avoid the tone of a gameguide in places, as discussions about how to unlock this how the boost can be used don't read as encyclopedic.
  • Done - I may not have trimmed boost down as much as you'd like, but it's an absolute core gameplay mechanic, so I tried to trim it while keeping it intact. All four paragraphs have copy editing, though.
  • Game modes use of capitals is a little odd. Perhaps putting them in some form of punctuation marks would help, so that they appear as 'Ring Master' or 'Rubber Ducky' to help ease of reading the sentances they are in.
  • Done - Though opinions on this seem to vary per editor, I agree with you on it needing some sort of distinction.
  • The word "Ducky" is used about five times in a very short period of time at the end of the section, could be rewritten to be less clunky to read
  • Done - Rewrote the gameplay section on Rubber Ducky, and edited the lead to simplify modes and not mention it specifically.

The other sections seem fine to me though, although the leads usage of "Rubber Ducky" also has the same odd feel to it as above. Rated as C-class for now whilst these points are examined. ---Taelus (Talk) 07:50, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've made improvements per your assessment. Please let me know if there are other things that need to be addressed. --Teancum (talk) 11:44, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The boost segment reads alot better now, and the punctuation marks on the game modes stop it from looking very odd due to the capitalisation, thus I think that is all the major style issues out of the way. I tweaked the gameplay section a little more to make the 'Rubber Ducky' bit a little more concise. I'm content that this meets the criteria for B-class now, thanks for your work! ---Taelus (Talk) 21:19, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
