Golden Age[edit]

I added more about the contributions of women and individuals to formation of book collection and raising funds for library, especially the library for African Americans, as this was unusual for the time. Creating and building up institutions deserves space; we tend to give much more to the generals and armies who destroy.--Parkwells (talk) 14:34, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just got a form from the NPS a few days ago about the Meridian Downtown Historic District (along with the other historic districts in Meridian, Mississippi) that had a lot of good information about Meridian's Golden age. I've added almost 5 KB of information to the article, but sadly the nomination form is not available online. I was told by the NPS that I could upload the form under Fair Use, but I don't know of anywhere to upload it. The NRHP, a subdivision of the NPS (kind of), is working on digitizing the forms for the 80,000+ sites listed on the register, but that process may take upwards of 2-3 years. I would like to upload these documents somewhere in the mean time, so others can verify information. Any suggestions? --Dudemanfellabra (talk) 07:16, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
