Please Help Get this Page Started
Please help by adding articles, images and adding pictures and images of the flags that was used throughout the British Empire. I will try my best to get started but all help is most welcome as I think we should have a page with all of these flags in one place as there are so many. I have put some of the flags onto the page but I do freely admit the page is in a mass and so please bring some order to the page and really help to get this going as I dont know really how to get a page up!
Sections

Similar page
There is already a page in Wikipedia called List of British Flags. Do we need another page with the same content? I think we can merge this article with the overseas territories section of that page. Sayan rc (talk) 23:27, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Title Change & Major Personal Recommendations
The page is finally starting to look like a proper reference page but there is so much that still needs to be done and I have some recommendations which I personally believe would really improve the quality and the knowledge of this much needed topic within the British Empire. In the following is the list of recommendations to which I personally recommend.
1. Change the title of flags of the British Empire to a new title "Flags of the British Empire & It's Dominions and Territories" or something very similar to those words so we can include places like Australia, South Africa and Canada and all other dominions and their territories properly within the article.
2. Replace all flags featured that are referenced from the old website flags of the world.com and other sixties and replace with only Wikipedia made flags for continuity and continue to find old colonial flags and if necessary make Wikipedia versions of flags which are currently only available to view from flags of the world.com or other sites as they are of poor Quality.
3. Expend the article with more information and reorganise.
4. Make this page a official Wikipedia project with a high priority.

Proposed merge with Historical flags of the British Empire
The creator of both pages suggests that the "Historical" article "will have a more in depth focus" but it constitutes a WP:CONTENTFORK. I would welcome suggestions as to whether there's any content at Flags of the British Empire that needs to be kept, and which title the merged article should have. - Any relevant content from the historical article should be merged into this to just leave "Flags of the British Empire" as the surviving article, no need for both. MilborneOne (talk) 16:30, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- Strictly speaking, List of British flags also lists flags of the Empire but also include links to the individual flag articles. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 09:17, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Introduction to article
How can we better improve the introduction to this article as currently it’s so brief it looks a little embarrassing and needs some work to improve it but have no idea what could be put into it.
