Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Hijacked[edit]

About the stated capacity factor.[edit]

In MidAmerica Energy's (MAE) application to PUC, the expected capacity factor was stated as 36%. However at another time, a representative of MAE stated that the capacity factor for the Vienna expansion, near Gladbrook, was expected to be above 38%. Vienna's location is not as good as Highland's and both use a 2.3MW Siemens. so Highland's capacity factor should be higher than 38%. Also I happened across a website that had a calculator for estimating capacity factors for various turbines at Iowa sites, and according to it, the capacity factor for the Highland project should be approaching 50%. IMHO, the capacity factor on the application was a very conservative estimate, and that in reality the capacity factor for this project will be in the 41-46% range in most years. --Aflafla1 (talk) 19:52, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A TV news report the other night mentioned the model being used has 108 meter diameter rotor. So it's a large diameter rotor which would confirm good capacity factor. Probably means that low to mid 40 percent capacity factor is doable. --Aflafla1 (talk) 13:15, 4 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
