Depth?[edit]

This and other coastal water-body articles, e..g Queen Charlotte Sound, all need their soundigns, especially given the reference to the coastal plain and being shallow etc.Skookum1 (talk) 02:24, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Out of fairness;NPOV these are not Haida-only waters and names from at least the peoples whose territories flank on it shoudl be included, if they can be found out; Tlingit and Kwakwaka'wakw and Owikeno and Nisga'a also, and there were American and Russian terms for this stretch of water as well (likely also Spanish). Once these are available, an alternate names section could be made, though definitely the Tsimshian name should be present here so as to not give the impression these are solely "territorial waters" of the Haida.....Skookum1 (talk) 23:34, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

yes that's a different issue, see Dixon Entrance, which also had Haida-only content, and no Tlingit or Tsimshian.......the US, by treaty, isn't south of the A-B Line, but Alaska has mapped out, not sure about selling, drilling leases up to mid-Entrance, saying that the seabed isn't covered by the various treaties with the US and Russia establishing the A-B Line as the boundary.Skookum1 (talk) 06:40, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV template without ongoing discussion per Template:POV instructions[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. the main neutrality issue on this one is the Haida bias and peacockery....no Heiltsuk and Tsmishian and Kwak'wala names originally, but definitely some (still uncited) breast-beating by a Haida fan.......Wales Island was different, it's a border dispute item and there were conflicting USian and Canadian/BC terminologies and statements in it.Skookum1 (talk) 06:36, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
