Big Band Success Is Amazingly Missing[edit]

His contribution to big band music is missing. Article highlights minor political office A footnote in his life and ignores the huge success in music. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:BC77:4CC0:7D31:C63E:869E:CA1D (talk) 22:49, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Music in New Orleans paragraph needs to be expanded by 50 paragraphs. Should be main body of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:BC77:4CC0:7D31:C63E:869E:CA1D (talk) 22:54, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Date of death[edit]

Most sources including the Associated Press, Fox News, and USA Today are saying that he passed away on January 25.

However, NOLA.com is saying that he died on January 24.

Which is the correct date? 2601:18C:9082:A6F0:5504:B129:613D:232E (talk) 23:11, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
