Notability[edit]

Regarding your concerns towards Mike Hughes notability (or lack thereof), Hughes passes the following for WP:N:

"The person has been the subject of published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject".
He has had two SLAM! Wrestling articles written specifically covering his career in Grand Prix Wrestling and the International Wrestling Association, both of which are available to view in the External links section.
"The person has been the subject of a credible independent biography"
Again, his SLAM! Wrestling articles alone provide a credible biography.
"The person has received significant recognized awards or honors"
Hughes is a former 2 time IWA Hardcore Champion. He was also inducted into the SLAM! Sports Canadian Hall of Fame.
"The person has demonstrable wide name recognition"
Hughes was one of several Canadian wrestlers featured on "Wrestling Reality", a Canadian reality television series which was aired both in Canada and internationally.

I'm not sure I understand your reasoning that Hughes is a "Non-Notable independent scene only wrestler". He was a very big star in the International Wrestling Association, which is the major promotion in Puerto Rico along with the World Wrestling Council. All of the points are clearly provided in references the article, and I should point out that canoe.ca is one of Canada's largest media conglomerates, the website provided certainly seems like a reliable source and fufills WP:V. 72.74.204.199 17:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
