The book has some details about Hancock, most of which is already in the article. The snippet view suggests more detail on page 94 and earlier, though I do not know if the detail is new or not. Erik (talk | contribs) 18:45, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Something Weird[edit]

From Archive:

During the fight scene between Hancock and Mary, there is brief shot of debris and people running fear. During that brief shot there is some strange figure that is taller then everything around it. I noticed it while watching the movie in the theatre, my friends said it looked like Transformer made out of garbage. It was very interesting as it was not mentioned anywhere. I am not sure if this is anything significant; it could very well be some kind of Easter egg that is not relevant to the film as a whole. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 12:37, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it was there. It looked like a transformer or a robot, but the scene was blurry due to the tornados and debris flying around, so I can't say for sure. Many people believe it to be a guy on stilts. Still, like Erik said, it seems to be nothing of any significance. --Chemical Rage (talk) 21:20, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps this is something which will be addressed in the sequel? Syko Conor (talk) 22:26, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In retrospect, I still think it was just an Easter egg. I've seen some sequel development news, and there's no reference to that scene. We'll have to see, though, if the sequel does get to production. Erik (talk | contribs) 22:34, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the the form in the background of the fight is a "Iron Man" suit. In the Visual Effects description, they talked about similarities between Will Smith's character and Robert Downey, Jr's character. It would only make sense the the Easter egg would be Iron Man watching Hancock fight with his wife. Nicole E. Maybe it's not intentional. Could it be a camera filming the scene from another angle, and the camera operator?71.109.150.238 (talk) 06:46, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Production section[edit]

Don't know how to post in here properly. But in the production section I added a comma after, "12 year old boy." With out the comma it implies the boy and the super hero are the same person — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.127.196.158 (talkcontribs) 23:15, March 12, 2013

Sequel expected to have main cast members back.[edit]

I know this source is dated, but hey, wouldn't hurt to add to the article.. Npamusic (talk) 00:13, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Here are more sources for the film, up to 2014. source 1, source 2 Npamusic (talk) 00:19, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Plot and Cast sections recreated[edit]

I noticed that the Plot and Cast sections, which appear standard on Wiki entries on movies and the like, had vanished and this information had become part of the header of the page. I couldn't determine which previous edit had done this, and some major edits appeared to have intervened in the interim, so instead of reverting changes I've recreated said sections. I've only done a general paste of this information from what was already in the section, and I haven't made any additions or redactions to the text itself however, so it may need further checking to see if its properly in line with Wiki rules about citations and general article quality. Pronoun confusion[edit]

In this sectional excerpt of the plot to hancock movie

Hancock is visited by Ray, who encourages him to be patient but when he hears he might be in for 8 years he starts to break out.

Why they are 3 hes? which one the word he refers to? Its pretty confusing to me Give us an example.

Hancock is visited by Ray, who encourages him to be patient but when hancock hears ray might be in for 8 years hancock starts to break out.

True or not? I hope someone can fix this problematic situation. Correct me if i am wrong. 2404:8000:1027:85F6:12F:90F1:A8D2:5158 (talk) 05:20, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Subtext[edit]

Looking back - this movie it seems like it's about a black hero that loses his powers whenever he's near a white woman. I can't be the first or only person to notice this. If this movie came out in 2023 there's no way this wouldn't be controversial; surprised it hasn't picked up the reputation since. Edit: found this article from when it was released which mentions everything but the white woman taking down a strong black man angle; it's like it really stretched things to make some interesting connections but missed what's, imho, the most obvious one. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2008/07/hancock-racist-metaphor-racism-or-just-dumb/ MrGoodEgg (talk) 05:19, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
