Assyrians and Anatolia[edit]

People have been dancing long before any Assyrian made their way up to Kurdistan from southern Iraq.

And the dances didn't originate in Anatolia!! I removed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurdalo (talkcontribs) 17:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

I -re-added a photo of dancers in Azerbaijan performing this dance but somebody deleted it without any reason before Baku87 (talk) 08:05, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Obviously the article concerns a form of dance shared by many cultures across the Caucaus, Anatolia, and the Middle East so we need a more neutral name for it. How about Southern Anatolian folk dance?--Rafy talk 12:14, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kurds[edit]

I see that some Turkish editor has added the Citation needed tag wherever Kurdistan is mentioned. That is completely unnecessary; the article's reference to Kurdish regions does not have any political meaning, it's only a description of location. There is a place named Kurdistan, but it is not a sovereign state, and this article does not claim that it is. Kurdistan's place as a geographic region is indisputable, and, as mentioned, does not require sourcing. Yalli[edit]

This page has been moved over redirect from Yalli on 26 November 2016 with this edit. However there is no mention of "Yalli" on the page. (Yalli is in use on at least one Azerbaijahn-related article.) This is not particularly problematic but I want to rcat the redirect "Yalli" and am not too sure if it should be an {{R from other spelling}}, {{R from other language}} or {{R from other name}} (or even something else). For now, I have gone with the first. 188.143.76.147 (talk) 09:23, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
