On March 13, 2014,Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, signed the decision of making Halabja the fourth governorate of Kurdistan Region, On March 16, 2014, Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani signed a regional directive to promote Halabja from district status to a province — Preceding unsigned comment added by A Halabja (talk • contribs) 08:53, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
Iraqi Goverment recognized[edit]
As of 13th of march 2023, The iraqi council has recognised halabja as an iraqi governate. Xenzoy (talk) 15:49, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
