Birthplace?

According to several other web sources (and anecdotes), Greer Garson was born in County Down, Northern Ireland, not Manor Park in London. Irishchieftain 01:41, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Britannica on this matter: "Garson often claimed to have been born in County Down, Ireland, where her grandparents lived and which she happily visited as a child, but she was, in fact, born and raised in London." Petrichor 02:46, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

College of Santa Fe

She also left a lot of money to the College of Santa Fe, if someone wants to do some resarch about funding and so forth. (there is a theatre and their studios are named after her i believe). Jakrus34 21:32, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Speech

How is Garson's infamous Oscar-accaptance speech not mentioned? If anyone could post a link to the contents of it, it'd be great.

I agree. The longest Academy Awards speech should be mentioned! 85.227.226.160 13:10, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Little Drummer Boy

A very minor point, but it says that the TV special was made in 1968 and broadcast every year since 1966. PurpleChez 03:35, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Also, the link is incorrect. It links to the song rather than the TV special. Ms. Garson also narrated the sequel released in 1976. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.183.232.23 (talk) 20:00, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

BA degrees in the UK

Traditionally British BA would not be in two subjects. And never in "C18th literature". What does this mean? This seems like an error?

A degree in French makes complete sense. Cagedcalcium (talk) 01:23, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Alligation of physical abuse

One of the author's has chosen to add an unsupported and unreferenced allegation that Miss Garson was the victim of domestic abuse. While I have a great deal of sympathy for anyone who has in fact suffered such abuse I also have grave concerns over making unsupported allegations of abuse. If someone is abused there is usually some sort of evidence; police reports, medical reports, court testimony etc. without such information I feel It's incredibly unfair to smear someone in this way. If someone is able to provide any form of supporting documentation I would urge them to do so. If this can't be done I would strongly suggest that the reference to abuse be deleted.
