Notable Alumni[edit]

Had the Notable Alumni removed multiple times. Two of them I can understand why they have been removed. The other two should not have been removed at all.

Hi, Jonnyshaw10. Firstly, when you post a message on a talk page, you need to sign it with four tildes (~~~~). That adds your name with a link to your talk page and your userpage (you have not made one yet), along with a timestamp. This is required. One of a zillion things you will learn as you learn to edit Wikipedia.

Now, about notable alumni lists. May I enquire as to why you think these people are notable? Please understand that in our usage of the term here on Wikipedia, notable most likely does not correspond with your idea of its meaning. Here, it simply means "the subject qualifies for an article". None of the people you listed have articles. Generally speaking, minor league baseball players don't qualify for Wikipedia biographies. And to show that the "rapper/motivational speaker" qualifies for a biography, you would have to provide multiple citations to reliable, independent sources that discuss the individual in detail (the article would need to be about him, not just mentioning him). His own website is useless for showing notability.

A further point. Either coming here or to my talk page should have been done the first time I removed the names. Content is decided by policy and consensus. Lack of consensus to an addition is shown by removing it. At that point, you should have started a discussion as you have now.

"Wikipedia is the encyclopedia anyone can edit" is one of the mottos of the Wikimedia Foundation. It's quite misleading. It should say "...may edit". It takes more than a little effort to learn how to make edits that stick. You are making a good start. Creating a new article is brave. Looking at the other high school articles on the Midland area, I can see why I have had to revert so much of your work to bring the article into compliance with policy and guidelines. They are all pretty poor. If you used them for models, I apologize for their sad condition. I'll get on staightening them out after I finish with this one.
