Recent undiscussed move[edit]

It seems that the majority of the article is about geology.

  • Bedrock features : pure geology
  • Landforms and topography : both as most of the landforms are the result of glaciation and are considered geologically produced.
  • Water : both for surface water; groundwater and aquifers are hydrogeology.
  • Soils : both, more to geography as covered.
  • Paleontology : pure geology
  • Notable Iowa geologists : no-brainer

Of the six sections 3 are pure geology, 2 would fit under either and only the soils section would be considered predominately geography.

The undiscussed move was in error and should be reversed. Vsmith (talk) 01:56, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User:Anthony Appleyard and User:WhatsUpWorld please explain. Vsmith (talk) 01:56, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article is only part about geology; it is also about lakes, plains, etc. So more fitting a definition of "geography". WhatsUpWorld (talk) 02:02, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That is correct. WhatsUpWorld (talk) 05:48, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning. So, someone says it is "uncontroversial" and with no discussion or checking just do it within 30 minutes? That's rather odd. And I'd say that is was controversial ... and would be deemed so by anyone closely looking at the page. The section: "Notable Iowa geologists" should have been a clue.
