the reason this page "reads like an advertisement" is perhaps because it is - the text is pretty much copied from http://www.gaylenepreston.com/biography.html - don't know enough about the subject to rewrite an actual article but will think about style editing. "interest in documentary films"[edit]

The claim that the subject has a "particular interest in documentary films" is unsourced and is contradicted by her here: https://www.ngataonga.org.nz/blog/film/danny-bultitude-salutes-the-dame-gaylene-preston-legacy-project/

"‘I’ve never Wikipedia-ed myself and I did the other day. I can’t remember why, but I did. And it says “has a special interest in documentary.” The problem with that is I don’t have a special interest in documentary. I have a special interest in storytelling, and I’ll use whatever medium’s right for that . . . so I would like that changed.'"
