steve twigger[edit]

today i was at the irish festival in pittsburgh and i talked to gaelic storm. they signed my cd and i overheard pat telling someone else that steve left the band because his mother died. he said steve had a bad year.--Irish rover 22:33, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Wehmeyer left the band for personal reasons. Steve Twigger is still with the band.

Steve Twigger is still with the band, saw him Saturday and Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Indianapolis Irish Festival 2006. (16 Sep 06 and 17 Sep 06) See photos posted throughout their message boards on the forum at http://www.gaelicstorm.com

Actually, Steve Wehmeyer did not leave the band until after the fifth album (counting Special Reserve, the compilation album), and was still performing with them at least thru late 2004. "American"[edit]

Even though the band was formed in California and is mainly based in the States, it seems weird referring to them exclusively as an "American" band when the current lineup consists of four of the five members born and raised in other countries - Ireland, England, and Canada.
