General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: @ISD:, my main concern here is that there isn't enough context in any of the blurbs for readers outside the UK Llewee (talk) 16:38, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Llewee (talk) 16:39, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Llewee: I'm happy with either of those alternative hooks (I personally prefer ALT4, but should there be a colon after the word "single"?) I should say that I did do a QPQ, which was Pentapus. ISD (talk) 08:29, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • OK, that was a mistake. I've struck through the earlier hooks and approved it. Llewee (talk) 11:33, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Llewee: Thank you. ISD (talk) 11:36, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @ISD: if you'd prefer one then feel free to strikethrough the other. Llewee (talk) 11:45, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Llewee: OK, then I would prefer to go with ALT4, and I have struck through ALT3. Thanks. ISD (talk) 15:38, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • @ISD: I think it'd add a bit more substance if we added that the band is so desperately trying to get a no. 1 christmas single :) Actually, not a bad hook for christmas day? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 13:53, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • @Theleekycauldron: what about "... that for their third attempt at a UK Christmas No. 1 single attacking the UK's political leaders, The Kunts released the track entitled: "Fuck the Tories"?" I should say, that personally I would prefer the hook to go out sooner than Christmas Day, as the battle for the Xmas No. 1 ends on 22nd December, with the announcement on the 23rd. ISD (talk) 18:33, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please note this article has been moved to "Fuck The Tories", so please change the hook accordingly to reflect this please. ISD (talk) 08:57, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • How are any of these hooks intriguing or unusual? EEng 14:21, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • per a discussion at WT:DYK, I'm going to mark this for closure. If there's no movement on this, it should probably be closed in a day or so. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 07:37, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fuck the T*riesFuck the Tories – Digital storefronts, and the few reliable sources which exist at this time, refer to the song as "Fuck The Tories", no asterisk. "Fuck the T*ries" is a stylisation. O.N.R. (talk) 03:45, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Old Naval Rooftops - I thought it might the case. I have no objection to moving it. ISD (talk) 06:30, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. This type of stylization does not belong in the title. Rreagan007 (talk) 18:07, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. It's best to go by how it's billed on the digital storefront, "Fuck the T*ries" is only the stylisation on the single cover. 2A00:23C5:4BC0:6C01:E899:D93C:50C:67F0 (talk) 16:21, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per above points. Ss112 14:50, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Shwcz (talk) 00:26, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Leaning oppose, as the stylization expurgating "Tories" while leaving "Fuck" intact appears to be intended to convey meaning. BD2412 T 16:56, 21 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Per above, can always put "(stylised as Fuck the T*ries)" in the lead XxLuckyCxX (talk) 19:01, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, as stylisation of song titles is not used as the title of the article. PaskaSemmen113 (talk) 19:30, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
