They aren’t an ethnicity[edit]

Friulians are not an ethnic group, they are Venetians. They descend from Romanised Venetics, they have always been united with Veneto in their history, they have nothing different culturally and there are also a lot of Venetian-speaking communities in Friuli. Also Friulian language is highly influenced by Venetian. 5.91.22.177 (talk) 12:27, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, no. Friulians are not only a separate ethnic group, their language is completely separate in its base from Venetian - Venetian is not Rhaeto-Romance of any description. They have not "always been united with Veneto in their history," the Patrie dal Friûl was independent within the HRE for hundreds of years. Lllibéral (talk) 07:37, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah and don't forget that Rhaetia covered parts of Bavaria, Northern Lombardy, Switzerland, and Austria. Rhaetianlombard (talk) 23:23, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
