An editor has reinserted an unnecessary hatnote, warning readers not to confuse Friedrich Bayer with Adolf von Baeyer. Considering that the other guy has an entirely different given name, and a somewhat different surname, I fail to see why we need this hatnote in this article. Hatnotes are reserved for topics that are easily confused. In addition it's bad form to reinsert such a hatnote without any edit summary/explanation when its removal has already been explained. --Matthew Douglas-Hamilton (talk) 23:48, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
