Care needed![edit]

In the reference Topsøe-Jensen in the article, there are two Danish naval officers of the same name and both born on 1 December (this one 1727 - the other 1725) - this one died 28/03/1804 (pages 705 -708). The other died 18/01/1803 (pages 702 -705). I may try to chase this along, or perhaps true Danes will do a better job. The entire two volumes of Topsøe-Jensen are available to download (see Citation on Article page) Viking1808 (talk) 21:36, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am building a stub for the other Frederick Christian Kaas (1725 -1803) in my sandbox. hence renaming this one with his dates. I have started a disambiguation page Frederik Christian Kaas (Disambiguation) but not sure it works. Viking1808 (talk) 12:13, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to other editors, the two officers are now sorted out on Frederik Christian Kaas Viking1808 (talk) 07:39, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This article has now been totally rewritten, avoiding the false claim that this individual F C Kaas (1727) led the punitive expedition of 1770. He was not even flag rank then, though there is a faint possibility the the ship-of-the-line Mars (which he captained) may have taken part (not substantiated). I think the article needs to receive a new review - perhaps User:Lord Bolingbroke can help here ?
Additionally, I believe there is a strong need for a native Dane to have a look at the original article on Danish wikipedia - Necessary Evil may be interested??
"1769 chef for linjeskibet Mars. Dette år og året efter anførte han Den Algierske Ekspedition" - is wrong. See da:Frederik Christian Kaas (1727-1804). With all this, I wonder if the portrait is of the correct man! Thanks in advance.

Now deleted by Viking1808, the offending sentence "Dette år og året efter anførte han Den Algierske Ekspedition" on the Danish and Norwegian equivalent articles. Viking1808 (talk) 15:07, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
