Notability[edit]

WP rules state:

Articles that seem to have obviously non-notable subjects are eligible for speedy deletion only if the article does not give a reasonable indication of why the subject might be important or significant.

Here are some reasons why this is not the case:

Fraternite Notre Dame is important in that they have received prominent media coverage in 2 controversies since they moved into the Chicago area in 2001.

They are a religious organization involved in humanitarian work around the world.

It is a schismatic Traditionalist Catholic Church, an important issue in Roman Catholicism. Bishop Kozik, who founded Fraternite Notre Dame was one of the eleven bishops consecrated by Pierre Martin Ngô Đình Thục without a pontifical or apostolic mandate.

- Additionally Bishop Kozik had originally been a part of the Palmarian Catholic Church, leaving the church after it's founded declared himself Pope.

Tons of churches and other organizations do such things. Two controversies doesn't warrant notability - this is just another church. Thewtfchronicles (talk) 08:47, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Catholic churches engaging in schism from the Roman Catholic Church are notable in and of themselves.
