Rewrite needed for clarification and concision[edit]

I hesitate to impose my rewrite upon the article, but much of it is poorly written and repetitious. To wit: "They grew up in a small town and were impressed every time circus came with a show - it seemed so interesting and simple so they followed the circus to learn all the tricks of the trade, boys were dreaming to become rich and successful and learnt so much and worked on different jobs." There are probably three separate sentences within this one, and each needs to be reconsidered and rewritten. Since I am far from knowledgeable about the subject, I would prefer it if someone who is could take it in hand. Bricology (talk) 22:01, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
