Ambery[edit]
In the list of sub-groups of the fragrance wheel, there is a sub-group called "Aromatic Fougère". In the description of this sub-group there is a word, ambery, that is presumably used to describe a particular fragrance. However, this word is not defined anywhere in the article, and I could find no WP article about it. Also, when I looked it up in Wiktionary, the definition reads, "Like or resembling amber", and the example sentences make it clear that it refers to a color, not a fragrance. I think that, somewhere in the article, the word "ambery" ought to be defined or described. This word also appears in the article on Sandalwood. - I found a discussion of amber as a scent in the article on Amber in the subsection "Scent of amber and amber perfumery" in the section Amber#Uses. I don't know whether information from this article should be added to the Fragrance wheel and Sandalwood articles, or whether simply a link to this section of the article on Amber would be sufficient. - I guess I'm confused about what kind of link to provide and in which article or articles. I see you added a link to Chypres, which is a family of fragrances that includes amber as one of several possible "modifier notes". I was thinking of linking the word "amber" in both the Sandalwood and Fragrance wheel articles to that sub-section of the Amber article. Is that what you were suggesting I do? Need to regroup categories[edit]
Hi everyone, wow. So basically i went to visit the original website (michael edwards fragrances of the world) and it turns out, he didnt actually clearly show us where the boundaries are for different groups. they blend into each other. i do see the creator of this wiki page wanted them in neat boxes, so i had to check other sources to see what people said. this is an impossible task without blog reviews. that being said, here is the different groupings people said: and some overlap btw which makes it very annoying to handle

Fresh: aromatic to fruity
Floral : floral to floral oriental
Oriental: floral oriental to woody oriental
Woody : woods to dry woods
Scent - Beauty Blog
fresh: aromatic to green
Floral : fruity to soft floral

Additional info
According to scent beautys blog, they said oriental is the previous outdated word, and the current word they use now is Ambers or the Amber grouping.
My hypothesized grouping:
Since the person who made this page wants hard boundaries, this is the best borders i can come up with . the overlap from those blogs makes it confusing. nonetheless:
- two of the blogs put aromatic in the fresh categories outer border, so i will put that for fresh. it makes sense in my head, lavender is associated with fresh
-only the freshsoaps blog put fruity in the fresh cateogory, the other two disagreed. despite being outnumbered, im siding with freshsoaps. fruit in my mind seems more like a fresh thing, not really a floral thing. i will place fruity in the outer borders of the fresh category
-in terms of the floral oriental boundary, only one of the 3 blogs answerd this unambiguosly. the liviatina blog said that Floral Oriental goes strictly into Florals. she said oriental begins with soft oriental. so that takes care of that border
-woods : everybody said woody was woods to dry woods, everybody agrees on that. nobody included woody oriental, everybody put that in Orientals/ambers. also, nobody seemed to put aromatic inside woody. i think people mentally group it with fresh. Philipbrochard (talk) 09:54, 4 March 2024 (UTC)

Adding a picture of the 2010 amber chart[edit]
Hi, would anybody be able to upload the 2010 amber chart to wikimedia commons and place and image at the bottom of this page? a visual would help definitely.

Final suggestions for this page[edit]
I think I am mostly done editing this page with content. My final 3 suggestions:
1) add this picture on the wiki page itself:

2) unbold that random bolded "green" in the last chart. the only thing bolded in the 2010 version should be aromatics bold only, not the green. Green should NOT be bold.
3) link the alpha aromatics website because that website has the most accurate group categorization schema.
