Fantastic[edit]

W00t, I nearly choked I laughed so much. I'm going to put some candles around it at the weekend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.202.175.207 (talk) 23:20, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{CN}}[edit]

The article refers to "two brothers" (hoaxers, plural) and to their father. It also states that HSTI is fictitious. These three items are unsourced and need to be verified by citation(s). — O'Dea (talk) 02:09, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Still there[edit]

Was just in Dublin in Early September 2011 and remembered reading the "memorial" plate. It is still there on the bridge. Brilliant! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.161.136.135 (talk) 14:23, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 14 July 2021[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: (non-admin closure) MOVED to Fr. Pat Noise plaque. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 00:27, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus agrees with the nominator that the topic of the article is the plaque and not the fictitious person the plaque is about. Consensus also prefers "Fr." be used, as on the plaque. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 00:27, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Father Pat NoiseFather Pat Noise plaque – Article is much more about the plaque then the person: it's unable to say anything more about the character than what's written on the plaque. All press, council and public reaction seems to be to the plaque itself rather than the character. • Rename to Fr. Pat Noise plaque, since that is the way it is written on the plaque and in several cited sources about it. There was no person – only a plaque. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:27, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move. Subject of article is the plaque. Title would ideally reflect. Guliolopez (talk) 08:28, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move per BarrelProof. Spleodrach (talk) 11:10, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - I've been going over the discussion closing guidelines and trying to familiarize myself with the requested move process. I tried to close this then realized that two editors here were calling for "Fr. Pat Noise plaque", so I reverted myself just to be safe. A consensus of two for that title might be enough, but I want to make sure I'm reading this correctly and I am not sure what the process is (for example, I've seen nominators edit the title in the request when in agreement with a different title) so I will hold off and see how this is processed. Sorry if I caused any disruption ASUKITE 19:16, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
