Haunted?[edit]

I've heard that this hotel is haunted. How is it haunted and what happened? 24.77.42.48 01:21, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Presumably haunted by the ghost of Winnipeg, which died sometime in the late 40's. While there is - something - written about the subject at http://theshadowlands.net/places/canada.htm and http://www.ghostvillage.com/encounters/2003/08042003.shtml , as a native I have never heard this story despite having many friends and family who have either worked or lived there. I would say its more likely simply a prerequisite for any structure as venerable as the Fort Garry to carry some story of ghosts or other unlikely urban legends. --NicoleBee 11:19, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the large unsourced section on hauntings. I found a source stating that it is part of local folklore and used that instead. --Ccyyrree (talk) 23:05, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
