I suggest that Farnhill is correctly recognised as a district of the town of Keighley. I work in property and know for a fact that Farnhill is part of Keighley although there always seems to be debate about this from residents. However if you refer property details in this area with the Land Registry you will see that it is a 100% fact that this is a district of Keighley. The following links are from the Land Registry and Royal Mail

There may be references to Farnhill and Keighley but you will find that Farnhill is a civil parish in North Yorkshire and governed as part of the Craven district. It is this governance that determines which details are given in the article. Post codes are just used by the Royal Mail for their convenience and ignore geographic boundaries and we do not use them to show where a settlement is. 23:05, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Forget post codes and councils and even counties, they are not relevent. What is relevent is how the land registry have areas listed and that is that the area is a district of Keighley. It should be listed as such. Wakey82 (talk) 21:41, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And the Land Registry is always correct, is it? Apart from that, the link you have provided above is merely an address search and all that it generates is the full POSTAL address which, as a number of people have pointed out is nothing to do with where a town is and is only concerned with where the Post Office sorts the mail. The convention throughout the UK geographical project is to focus on a town's governance. Farnhill is in North Yorkshire. It is administered by NYCC and Craven Council. That is what is relevant. ----Jack | talk page 09:09, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
