Body Kit Pattern Rendering Problem in IE

The "_stripesandshouldersonwhite" body pattern is not rendering color in Internet Explorer browsers.

For example, the template code "pattern_b1 = _stripesandshouldersonwhite | body1 = 2662BC" is not rendering the stripes and the shoulder line in soft blue color, like it was supposed to, appearing gray instead.

The problem lies with alpha channel transparency, which causes rendering problems in IE. [1]

Suggested fix is using 8-bit palette indexed transparency.Tmmm 16:45, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

Name change

Does anyone have a problem if I change the title to FC Porto or F.C. Porto? This club is known in English by FC Porto (Ef Cee Porto), and that's the title of every club you can find, except from Sporting Clube de Portugal which is the name chosen by the club to be used by UEFA in official competitions. Give me feedback, please. Joaopais 23:25, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

FC Porto squad

Was trying to fix squad composition and screwed chart, now cannot arrange it back. SORRY!!!

VASCO AMARAL, PORTUGAL (User n.217.129.67.28)

Regarding the Total spending in acquisitions, the previous value was not correct.

Porto invested 25.051.755 Euros and not 15.500.000 euros. The 15,5 M is (as the text states) the value invested only in 3 players: Ernesto Farias, Stepanov and Bolatti. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.159.154.10 (talk) 17:30, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Madjer.jpg

Image:Madjer.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Confusion

There's a big mistake that should be correct, the case that is related with the decision of Porto won't play on next season for Champions League is Apito Final, not Apito Dourado. They are two diferent cases. The same that make Porto loose 6 points this season. See: [2]

Superleague Formula templates

I've started a discussion about the use of the Superleague Formula templates on football club articles at Template talk:Superleague Formula following some discussion at Talk:Tottenham Hotspur F.C.. Since this article features the template, your views would be welcome. Cordless Larry (talk) 21:30, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Some Porto's nicknames aren't true

Futebol Clube do Porto isn't known at all as "Colossal"...That feature should be deleted by someone who edits pages. Don't forget that football clubs pages sometimes aren't edited as neutral and objective as they should be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.80.116.162 (talk) 09:30, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Bias

This article is not neutral because it only mentions the positive things about the club. Why aren't runners-up years listed? Why don't you mention the failure of 2013-14 season? Why does it try to hide Apito Dourado? Why doesn't mention the poor past of the club in terms of titles? 85.246.179.146 (talk) 00:54, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Mostly because the article is far from being complete (if it will ever be), specially the history section which covers most of the club's title drought years and a few recent disappointing seasons here and there. As for runner-up placings, they are listed, although I never agreed with having this in a "honours" section (the majority of featured articles on football clubs also don't include them). I don't have any problem with being unbiased on an article about the club I – coincidentally – am a supporter of, provided that there are reliable sources to verify all of the facts, positive or not. Parutakupiu (talk) 02:16, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Move to "FC Porto" proposal

The Portuguese version of the article, the club's official site, the FPF, UEFA, the BBC, Eurosport, Sky Sports and ESPN all use "FC Porto". I've never seen "F.C. Porto" used anywhere but here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sueisfine (talkcontribs) 03:54, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

I support this. SLBedit (talk) 19:01, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Seeing as the club itself adopted this style, I don't see any reason why the article title should not reflect this. Still, this would imply moving all other club-related pages that also bear the "F.C." style. Should a move request be opened to gather more opinions? Parutakupiu (talk) 19:45, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Yes. SLBedit (talk) 19:54, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
