Lowest point[edit]

Hi, the cited reference plus link is ambiguous. The lowest point is stated as Amu Darya and the link given is to the Wiki page for the river. That river with its tributary the Panj actually forms the entire long northern border of Afghanistan. I think the intended meaning is that the lowest point is on the river at the downstream (western) end of this stretch; from Google Maps I reckon this is at (37°33′N 65°46′E). Below this the Amu Darya flows out into Turkmenistan. There is also a town called Amy Dar'ya (see separate Wiki page Amu Dar'ya (town) ), but it is entirely in Turkmenistan, some 50km downstream and NW of the nearest Afghan border.AconUK (talk) 10:21, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
