Copyvio[edit]

I had to revert this article to January 2006 because subsequent edits appear to be based on Anastos's biography on the Fox New York web site: [1]. Someone removed the Beastie Boys reference to Anastos: it mistakenly said he was referred to in a song from Paul's Boutique; instead the reference to him was in "Finger Licking Good" from the album Check Your Head ("I'll Be In The Paper, The News With Ernie Anastos").

Chicken[edit]

As far as I can tell the objection to including this is that it's unserious or somehow not becoming of an encyclopedia, not that it isn't notable. When someone makes a mistake or gaffe that gets a lot of attention, that's an important aspect of their career that would be included in a full treatment of the subject (e.g., Janet Jackson). News outlets have reported on this, the station management has responded to it, Anastos will apologize for it--it's not "trivial."72.95.240.157 (talk) 01:51, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If it becomes a notable meme or something of that nature happens, then yes. Otherwise I don't see the need.

He probably meant to say "plucking." The article said this a little while ago, with citations, but it was removed because this is all trivia of no encyclopedic merit.Prezbo (talk) 06:12, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He was making a reference to an old chicken commerical, hence the reference to "It takes a tendor man to make a forcaste", etc. That was from the commercial. The "Keep fucking that chicken" is a continuation of the chicken discussion. --66.60.137.134 (talk) 00:21, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No matter what everyone thinks they heard or didn't hear, please read WP:V; Wikipedia is built upon reliable sources. If there are a few dozen journalists who heard "fucking", that's worth including. It's obvious what he says. Even his co-anchor heard it that way. Look at her face on the Youtube video. I live hundreds of miles from New York and it's the only thing I've ever heard about him.
