Talk:Emma Portman, Baroness Portman

Accuracy[edit]

Needs renaming; she dies before her husband becomes Viscount - she's only Baroness.86.137.248.46 (talk) 20:28, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

See?  Boase, George Clement (1885–1900). "Portman, Edward Berkeley". Dictionary of National Biography. London: Smith, Elder & Co. The link provided mentions that Emma is dead eight years before her husband became a Viscount, so she was only ever Baronesss. Can the page now, PLEASE, be altered to it's correct title?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.149.135.151 (talkcontribs)

As seen here, we have an IP edit warring over material that is was not sourced in the article and is not the title of the article. I will alert the relevant WikiProjects to this matter. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 19:21, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed as requested. Opera hat (talk) 19:44, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Good. The current Oxford edition of DNB has the same dates, for those who might worry about this being some bizarre error in the older sources. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 00:09, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
