2006 parliamentary[edit]

I heard on the news that there were parliamentary elections in R. of Macedonia today - we need an article. --Joy [shallot] 21:50, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed we do. —Nightstallion (?) 06:09, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article gives numbers of seats won by each party, and cites as its source the Macedonian Election Commission. I cannot find these figures at that site (but of course I don't read Macedonian). Can someone advise me where these figures are located? Adam 03:41, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neither can I, but I used this Word page. Electionworld = Wilfried (talk 06:10, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Wilfried. Do I gather from that table that the deputies are elected on a district basis rather than from national lists? Adam 06:16, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I got the impression that Macedonia is divided in 5 or 6 electoral districts, using lists in each of the districts. One can find at the site the lists per district. The site of the LDP of Macedonia gives candidates in each of these districts. Electionworld = Wilfried (talk 07:24, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I have figured it out now. There are 6 districts, each electing 20 Deputies by PR. There are candidate lists at the Election Commission website. Soon I will have complete figures and maps at my site. Adam 07:54, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
