Untitled[edit]

Would it be confusing or inappropriate to change the page to Eleanor Stein? Your writings refer to Eleanor Stein, and she was only married a short time to Mr. Raskin. You have provided Stein's childhood until today without much reference to the Raskin name.Elizabethgaye22 (talk) 22:06, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eleanor Raskin is the name that the FBI files refer to as well as what most people during the Weatherman period knows her by, so if one were to look her up via Wiki, "Raskin" would most probably be what would be searched for. She, however, was only married for a brief time to Jonah Raskin, so I hesitate to refer her by his last name. I tried to eliminate any confusion by referring to both names at the very start of her bio. Today, she is known as "Eleanor Stein." (Sherlockhemlock (talk) 00:00, 18 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Quotation for NYT[edit]

In the following quotation, there appears to be some missing quotation marks:

The New York Times quoted her: "We've effectively shut down the college and cut down attendance at the university by half," said Mrs. Eleanor Raskin, an SDS spokesman who is a second-year law student at Columbia. "This strike is the opening gun. This strike is our first blow."...At a news conference, Mrs. Raskin...warned that if Columbia failed to act on the demands before the end of the spring vacation, which begins Friday and ends April 6, the SDS chapter would "take further action."

For direct quotation of spoken words within a quoted passage from a newspaper article, you can use single quotation marks [']. Please double-check to make sure that this material is properly formatted.--Historytrain (talk) 01:24, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Will double-check shortly. (Sherlockhemlock (talk) 01:34, 20 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Reference to Mary Church Terrell[edit]

It might be beneficial to the reader to have a quick in-text identification of Mary Church Terrell when she is mentioned within the entry. As it stands, the narrative relies upon the reader recognizing who this person is, or at least deducing her relevance to Stein's life-story.--Historytrain (talk) 01:28, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good point re: Mary Church Terrell. Also Chicago Eight in Stein's letter will be briefly identified under Notes, as well. Will get to those this evening. (Sherlockhemlock (talk) 01:32, 20 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]
