Notability[edit]

I think this article fulfills the guidelines at WP:NMG.

1- Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself.

The article cites three major local newspapers Gulf News, Khaleej Times and The National. One publication even describes him as "a hugely popular artist in the region".

2- Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart.

Yes. Check this link and this one.

4- Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.

Yes, Check the sources in the article. He has headlined a national concert tour called the Mother of the Nation Festival in 2018.

5- Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).

Yes, he has been signed with EMI Music Arabia

Hi I'm afraid I don't agree with you.
  • 1 Khaleej Times and The National are passing mentions and the Gulf News is routine coverage.
  • 2 this is not the official chart but a youtube chart so doesn't count I'm afraid
  • 4 participating in a festival is not the same as doing a concert tour, a tour is several dates. He played a 1 hour set during the 10 day festival [1]
  • 5 There are no sources to back this up.
If he meets any of these criteria he "may" be notable as it says at WP:NMG. All articles have to meet WP:GNG and this one doesn't hence the tags. more sources have to be provided. Dom from Paris (talk) 13:23, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, Domdeparis. In that case, AllMusic is a WP:RS and this link confirms that he's signed with EMI. Case closed. Thanks. --Fideliosr (talk) 18:24, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May 2018 references hatnote[edit]

The page is still only very much a start, but the inline sourcing is more specific now. There are several English spellings to his name, and this has probably hampered what sources were found in the past. A big bout of research in Arabic would help with the career section, I have no doubt. Jgcascade (talk) 13:14, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
