Claim to being last survivor of Light Brigade charge[edit]

The statement he was the last surviving veteran by 1923 deseves a citation, preferably as near as possible to his lifetime. Sir Fitzroy Maclean who outlived him (died 1936) was also said to be last survivor, according to his New York Times obituary but this is disputable (lack of mention by British sources used in his Wikipedia article) and I have raised a checking need for that.Cloptonson (talk) 12:21, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
