His obituary in the Minutes of the Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers gives 1816 as year of birth, with no indication of uncertainty. Is there any reason to think this is wrong? --Andreas Philopater (talk) 12:25, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
