How can anyone say that Macaulay's verdict on Blount's motives "is no longer accepted"? What other possible motive could he have had? Harfarhs (talk) 19:30, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography states that "it was probably not, as previously thought, deliberately written to discredit Bohun and had only a small role in the demise of the Licensing Act [...]".
