Succession to the earldom[edit]

Descendants of Peregrine Eliot, 10th Earl of St Germans:

  1. Albert Eliot, Lord Eliot. (b. 4 November 2004)
  2. Hon. Louis Robert Eliot (born 11 April 1968, Plymouth, England)
  3. Hon. Francis Michael Eliot (b.16 November 1971), who now uses the name of Freddie Freud. [1]

The other male-line descendants of Edward Eliot, 3rd Earl of St Germans and his wife Lady Jemima Cornwallis, also the descendants of appear to be extinct without male issue as of 1995.[2]

There are no other heirs to the earldom, apart from those listed above.

Defaultsort[edit]

List of earldoms (section- Earldoms in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, 1801–present) sorts Earl of St Andrews and Earl of St Germans between Earl of Snowdon and Earl of Stockton. I suggest that there should be consistency between the sorting on that page and the sorting in Category:Earldoms in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. Incidentally, the same principle is true for Earl St Aldwyn and Earl St Maur, which it sorts between Earl Sondes and Earl Sydney. Alekksandr (talk) 14:07, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There should be consistency, and "St" should be sorted as "Saint", as is normal in British English. DuncanHill (talk) 14:24, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - can you suggest a mechanism to ensure that this happens in List of earldoms? Thanks in advance. Alekksandr (talk) 16:13, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
