Fair use rationale for Image:TGR Logo.PNG[edit]

Image:TGR Logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Tables in article[edit]

After much discussion it was decided that tables of every piece of rolling stock does not comply with Wikipedia's Original Research (OR) and Notability policies. This article contains a lot of tables for that purpose, I propose these are removed. LJ Holden 02:10, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide me with the talk page where the discussion was conducted on this policy relating to rolling stock tables. Original Research guidelines are not relevant if the information in such a table can be verified like any other information. PatrickDunfordNZ (talk) 05:55, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Context of the name "Taieri Gorge Railway"[edit]

The name Taieri Gorge Railway can have two contexts which need to be noted:

  • The name of the business entity or corporation (currently known as Dunedin Railways) as per this article.
  • The name of the actual railway line in the Taieri Gorge, formerly known as the Otago Central Railway. This has been confirmed with the New Zealand Geographical Board: https://gazetteer.linz.govt.nz/place/7281

This means in the context of this article, it is possible that there may in future be justifiably two different articles with the name "Taieri Gorge Railway", or a need for a disambiguation page directing people to two separate articles rather than just this article.
