Dukkha samudaya redirect to Samudaya saccã[edit]

Why is there no discussion here on talk about the redirect from Dukkha samudaya, since that term is also widely used (suffering's origin), rather than Samudaya saccã, origin of reality (or 'original of the reality of suffering')? MaynardClark (talk) 21:53, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Maynard, I actually created the page (Dukkha samudaya) originally, but I think "Samudaya sacca" is the more traditional expression for the second noble truth (and probably more common as well). See Four Noble Truths#Pali terms for the four truths. Currently, the article on the Four noble truths provides a brief explanation of each truth. My intention is to expand the articles on each truth and provide consistent naming conventions. Hence I also plan to:
  • Rename Nirodha to Nirodha saccã
  • Create an article Magga saccã
I think that it is really in the context of the four noble truths that these terms are most meaningful. (Note: I don't intend to rename the article Dukkha since that is a very common term; I don't think it is necessary.) Regards, Dorje108 (talk) 01:55, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
