Duplicate article[edit]

A duplicate of this article was created in August here at Dubthach Maccu Lugir. It's pretty much copy-and-pasted from an out-of-copyright source here: Dubthach Maccu Lugir (DNB00). Maybe someone with some knowledge on the subject can determine if there is any salvageable content on it before redirecting it here?--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 05:36, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've done the merge by copying the DNB text on top of a couple of paragraphs that had no citations, but were roughly a biography and so covering similar things to the DNB text. There will still be a fair bit of duplication, but the text with citations should be kept. Where the DNB is clearly outdated and wrong then the sections should be updated, but see WP:INTEGRITY the new information should be added with citations.

I will leave it to the experts to decide what to keep, delete and integrate further. I will not be watching this page so any questions please ask on my talk page. -- PBS (talk) 23:36, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Medieval?[edit]

Inishdooey[edit]

According to this, the island of Inishdooey was named for the saint: " ... Inishdooey / Inis Dhubhnach is a small uninhabited island, especially noted for the magnificent arches and caves on its eastern side. The island is named after, and features the ruins of a church supposedly founded by, the legendary C6th Saint Dubhthach / Dooey.
