His origin[edit]

He was born in Stridon, which was located in Dalmatia. And it's clearly that those territories were inhabited by the Illyrians. So, Domnus of Stridon was of Illyria origin.

You need to support the fact that he was Illyrian with wp:rs, anything else will be removed as wp:OR.Alexikoua (talk) 13:04, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to give you sources, that the province in which he was born was inhabited by the Illyrians https://books.google.com/books?id=bVWcAQAAQBAJ&pg=PA726&dq=dalmatia+illyrian&hl=de&sa=X&ved=0CBsQ6AEwADgKahUKEwipl-nCyKHIAhVBaRQKHSDLAV8#v=onepage&q=dalmatia%20illyrian&f=false 46.19.231.255 (talk) 15:21, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No, you need to offer inline citation that this person spefically was Illyrian.Alexikoua (talk) 18:33, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's impossible to find that source about this person specifically. But why can't sources that supports Jerome Illyrian origin, since Jerome was also from Stridon, and Stridon as Illyrian town, since it was Domnus homeland, help us to verify his origin??46.19.231.255 (talk) 19:18, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Towns can also host minority communities, if town X is generally Illyrian it doesn't mean that everyone is Illyrian there. A modern example is New York, not every New Yorker is American.Alexikoua (talk) 19:21, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
We aren't talking about big cities, like Rome,Constantinople,Antioch etc..We are talking about a small town in the countryside.Even if a small community lived in a small town, aren't there any possibility that there have been an intermixture between communities?46.19.231.255 (talk) 20:36, 1 October 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.19.231.255 (talk) 20:30, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
