The territory is under temporary UN administration, as ruled in the Resolution 1244 (1999), adopted by the United Nations Security Council on 10 June 1999[1], where the UN reafirmed its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (and its sucessor state, the Union of Serbia and Montenegro, after the country changed its name). What is this?[edit]

this is not the Commune of Gjilan, that is smaller. http://sq.wikipedia.org/wiki/Komuna_e_Gjilanit The district system is older than the commune system and uses bigger blocks. the land is the same as described here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosovo-Pomoravlje_District so they should be merged. The area described is the same as http://sq.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anamorava

The common English name for this area is also Gjilan, or Gjilan/Gnjilane as shown here for example: http://www.osce.org/kosovo/item_2_14147.html Here are more example of the dual names and Gjilan being listed first or only :

Here are the name changes reverted that should be added back in, at least with the dual names.

Gnjilane/Gjilan

Dual names are not in the wiki policies. Only one name is common, and redirects are working. Also, for your confusing problems, see Administrative divisions of Kosovo. So you will see. And coord missing kosovo template doesn't exist, as kosovo status is disputed. --10:36, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

O, my friend, you are not right. sq:Komuna e Gjilanit is Albanian District of Gnjilane, so Anamorava is Kosovo-Pomoravlje District. In Kosovo-pomoravlje, we SHOULD NOT have those categories, as that district doesn't exist under Republic of Kosovo government. So, those two should not be merged, as those two are two separate entities, by two different governments. Do you understand me now? Also, your merge request is not valid. It was not requested good. no, I think you are not right. the *District* of Gnjilane is not the *Commune* of Gjilan. The District in albanian is here: sq:Gjilan, the commune is here sq:Komuna e Gjilanit. My response is, we should merge District of Gnjilane and Kosovo-Pomoravlje District, they cover the same ground. they are the same.

The sq:Gjilani is depicted on the background of the district of Gjilani. the sq:Komuna_e_Gjilanit is smaller than the district. It seems that the sq wikipedia does not have an article about the district, I assume that it is the Anamorava. Fact is still however that District of Gnjilane and Kosovo-Pomoravlje District cover exactly the same space an should be merged as far as I can tell. You removed my proposal for merger as vandalism? I think that is pretty heavy handed. Please stop threatening me, you know very well that I am not a vandal.

Sorry! :))) Well, that merge proposal was rejected earlier on Kosovo talk page, as those two are not the same as i explained you above. Also, this is English wikipedia, so it is unimportant who it is on sq wiki. Please, stop your clumsy edits, i am trying to help you as much as i can, but you are living mess in the articles. We need to be able to find the names that local people use to name it. We need to be able to link the articles together. I want to be able to search for albanian names and find articles if possible in english. I am an english speaker not an albanian speaker. And this merge proposal I think it still makes sense. At least you can leave it there. and also the anamorave link, leave that as well! As far as I can tell it is ALL THE SAME GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIOn, so let keep it together in one place and one article.

Unfortunately, there is more then just geographical instance. I am talking about Politics! :) Those tho cannot be merged, and there are link for both articles in them. So it is pointless to have merge proposals... And you may create redirects. Then you will be able to find anything you need! :) And after that, there will be no need for merging articles!
